French Breakfast Puffs |

Yield: 12 1 1\2cups Flour 1 1\2 Tsp Baking
Powder 1\2 Tsp Salt 1\4 Tsp Ground
Nutmeg 1\2 Cup Sugar 1\3 Cup Shortening 1 Egg 1\2 Cup Milk 1\2 Cup Sugar 1 Tsp Ground
Cinnamon 6 Tbsp Butter Or
Margarine (Melted) Grease 12 muffin
cups. Stir together flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. In bowl cream
together 1\2 cup sugar shortening and milk. Alternate flour and creamed
mixture. Beat well after each addition. Fill muffin cups 2\3 full. Bake
at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes. Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon.
Remove from oven. Immediately dip in melted butter or margarine, then in
cinnamon sugar mix till coated. Serve warm. |
