Marbled Chocolate Rum Pie |

1 Env Unflavored
Gelatin 1 Cup Milk 1 Cup Sugar 12 Oz. Semisweet
Chocolate Chips 1/8 Tsp Salt 1 Cup Heavy Cream 2 Eggs Separated 1 Tsp Vanilla
Extract 1/4 Cup Rum 9 Inch Baked Pie
Shell In double boiler
mix gelatin, 1/4 cup sugar and salt. Stir constantly. Add egg yolks,
milk and rum, stirring until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and
stir in chocolate chips till throughly blended chill until thickened but
not set. Beat egg whites till foamy, gradually add 1/2 cup sugar and
beat till Very stiff. Fold
into chocolate mixture. Whip cream with remaining sugar and vanilla
until it is very stiff. Alternate the two 2) mixtures in the cold pie
shell; swirl with spoon. Chill until firm. |
